Gathering Inspiration
Living in North Norfolk has had a huge influence on my paintings and creative direction. Gathering resources in the form of photographs from remote areas accessed by boat, spending time collecting quick sketches as I potter through the creeks and water ways, or when I find myself sat on a remote sandy beach, or perched on the edges of a salt pan.
My sketchbooks and pockets are filled with sea chalk and shoreline finds which I bring back and create small installations to use as a visual and tactile resource evoking the atmosphere and tranquillity of this special place.
