This is a semi-abstract painting inspired by swimming in the waters around Scolt Head Island on the North Norfolk coast. It has that magical quality capturing the essence of place. This painting is about that feeling of connection and a reminder of all the times I found myself bobbing about in the water.
Created using layers of glazing it has a rich Prussian blue, almost black depth to it, and would be well suited for a darker wall or favourite nook to hang. With its distinct watery quality it captures the movement of the sea, and invites you to dive in and enjoy the cool solitude.

The captivating sway of the Hemp Agrimony amongst the reeds with its unique colour palette, often referred to as ‘Raspberries & Cream’, draw the eye and bringing a playful, frothy burst of colour.

This Contemporary Landscape focuses on the cobalt blue sky, where a cloud hangs, soft in it’s fullness. The hazy light evokes memories of sunny day warmth. The painting captures the boldness of the cloud form, seen beyond the mud and marsh edges there is the feeling of expansiveness and distance even as you are rooted in the sand beneath your feet.
